The superstar without pretentions.

Prior to first use:

  • Clean the VARICOR® surfaces with a conventional household soap solution.

  • You can easily remove stubborn dirt with a cleanser (e. g. Viss, Stahlfix) and a moist sponge cloth and very stubborn dirt with a Scotch Brite sponge.

  • Cleaning the surface regularly with a cleanser also prevents the formation of wear marks.

Cutting
To ensure your VARICOR® worktop has a long life, we recommend always using a cutting board to protect the worktop and the knife blade.

Scratch marks
Light scratch marks can be easily removed with abrasive powder and a damp Scotch Brite sponge. Deep scratch marks can be removed using sandpaper with a grit size of 240, 320, or 400.

Gloss level
If the surfaces have been given a higher gloss by the technician, ask them what treatment they used to obtain the gloss level. Select a cleaning product suitable for the care of the surface accordingly.

Thermal stress
Avoid bringing VARICOR® into direct contact with solid or liquid substances that are colder than - 20° C or hotter than + 90° C. Short-term exposure to heat will not damage the surface, however longer exposure can lead to discolouration of the surface. This can always be repaired, but is an inconvenience. Therefore always place hot objects like pots, pans, and baking trays on heat mats to dissipate the heat. Only use pots and pans which do not protrude beyond the cooking hob.

Tips on how to preserve the long-term value of your VARICOR® units can be found in the downloads on this page.
